PAYMENT DUE DATE

Monthly payments are due at the first lesson of every month. Posted-dated cheques for the 1st day of the month are required. The annual administrative fee of $15 per student is due with the September payment. 

 

MISSED LESSONS 

Up to 2 lessons each year can be re-scheduled at a convenient time for the teacher and student between September and June.  Please ensure adequate advance notice is given for missed lessons.  Failure to notify the teacher in advance of missed lessons will be charged at the applicable rate.Any lessons that a student misses without advanced notice and any lessons that cannot be made up during the September-June term are non-refundable.

Occasionally, we find it necessary to cancel a lesson.  In that event, we will endeavor to give as much notice as possible.  If possible, we will re-schedule the missed lessons. No fee will be charged for lessons cancelled by us and not re-scheduled. 

 

SCHOOL PROFESSIONAL DAYS OR STAT HOLIDAYS

Piano lessons still take place on school professional days or stat holidays. Teachers will attempt to be flexible on stat holidays where possible. 


ENTRY FEES
Students are responsible for paying entry fees for examinations and festivals.

RECITALS
Formal Recitals are held in December and June for students to demonstrate their achievement in piano performance. All students are encouraged to participate in these events as they are an integral part of their musical development. Admission to recitals is by donation and family and friends are welcome to attend. In addition to the formal recitals, in-formal student recitals are held throughout the year.

 

MUSIC PURCHASES
In consultation with students and parents, we usually purchase specific music books for our students and ask to be reimbursed for the amount paid.  This ensures that the correct items are purchased at a minimum inconvenience to the parents.
